Work at HQ

Where ambitious people learn faster than the models do.

Who we're looking for.

Three kinds of people do well here (you don't have to be all three).

  1. 01

    People who already use HQ.

You've pointed it at real work and have opinions about what it should do next.

  2. 02

People deep in AI and ML.

You know what's real and what's a demo.

  3. 03

    Generalists who ship.

You can write the page, run the call, set up the automation, and read the numbers after.

How we work.

A small team that runs on the product it sells.

  1. 01

    Ship.

You're judged on what you ship and what customers say. Not hours, not titles.

  2. 02

    Own.

Everyone owns a surface end to end and runs it with AI.

  3. 03

    Learn.

What you figure out goes back into HQ for the whole team and every bot.

Open roles.

Engineering

Senior Software Engineer

A dedicated engineering application with its own questions. If you write code for a living, start there.

Everyone else

General application

AI and ML, marketing, sales, operations, product, customer success, or a generalist who does a bit of all of it. Tell us what you're good at.

Common questions.

Do I need to be an engineer?

No. Generalists who already work through AI are often more useful here than deeply technical people. Engineers apply through the Senior Engineer role.

Do I need to have used HQ?

It helps a lot. It's free to install, and we ask about it in the application. If you haven't, tell us how you work with AI today.

Where is the team?

Remote, mostly US time zones. Async first, with a few live syncs a week.

What happens after I apply?

We read every application. If there's a fit, we'll email you about next steps, usually a call and a small working session.
